CIC Selects MGI to Represent CMP Masterfile Mailing List
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) December 7, 2009 -- The MGI List Division of Marketing General Inc. (MGI), announces the availability of a new Masterfile list for Certified Meeting Professionals from the Convention Industry Council.
Members of the Convention Industry Council (CIC) represent more than 103,500 individuals and 19,500 firms and properties involved in the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry. CIC offers many tools and programs designed to support the industry and meet its challenges; to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas; and to educate the public on the industry's profound economic impact.
The CMP Masterfile includes more than 9,200 names of active professionals with the coveted CMP designation. An additional selection of nearly 1,000 names identifies active professionals who are CMP candidates - they are studying and/or taking courses to qualify for full certification.
The Convention Liaison Council was founded in 1949 by four organizations. That group, now the Convention Industry Council, has grown to include 34 member organizations. The CMP program administered by CIC was established in 1985 and is the industry's highest certification. CIC is headquartered in Alexandria, VA.
